adventures in healing …

I believe in playfulness, and laughing through pain.

Not if it’s not real … sometimes you first need to clear the decks. Name the pain. Truly, for me, this sometimes takes, like, 60 seconds. Somethin’ like that. Fair warning: I may cry during that 60 seconds. Matter o’ fact, it’s a good bet I will.

But then I’m on to seeing the silliness in the situation, not taking myself too seriously or at a minimum, opening to the ride. It’s always a ride, at the very least. Wow, what rides I have seen!

And when the ride dumps you off at the end and you look back at where you’ve been, you usually realize you’ve discovered some pretty fascinating stuff. Stuff you can take along in your pack and use for the future.

“There once was a king who offered a prize to the artist who would paint the best picture of peace. Many artists tried. The king looked at all the pictures. But there were only two he really liked, and he had to choose between them. One picture was of a calm lake. The lake was […]

❤ A little update for everyone who wrote weeks ago asking about my trip to Seattle to see the specialist in complex illnesses: Thank you so much for your kindness, your prayers and good thoughts during my trip (I definitely felt your energy!) … for your patience as I rested up once I returned (I […]

“Live in day-tight compartments. Don’t stew about the future. Just live each day until bedtime.” – Dale Carnegie Exhuming your cares I’ll share that the whole worry thing reminds me a lot of my wonderful dad. He’s actually a bit of a worrier himself but it’s funny to notice what he did with *MY* worry. […]

I remember as a kid hearing how Russian skiiers would envision making the perfect jump as a part of their training. Visualization has been used for years by psychologists, life coaches and Olympic athletes. It’s not hard and it’s not hocus pocus … (not that there’s anything wrong with a little bitta woo woo. 😉) With […]

I awoke thinking, “No, no, no, no!” Has this every happened to you? You’ve committed to do something with someone but are absolutely NOT feeling up to it in any way, shape or form. And your body and mind are screaming, “Nooooo!” For me this morning it was Colonel Mustard in the library with a […]

“Life is a highway – I want to ride it all night long …” —Tom Cochrane Note to reader-friends: What’s to come is not a so-called “bad” story … so lift yourself to a level high above and view it from a heart-smile place. Are you smiling? Yeah yeah, there, now you have it! Ok, […]

“An unquestioned mind is the only suffering.” —Byron Katie Thought appears: “The pain is incessant.” Is that true? “No. Actually, the pain feels incessant, with pockets of relief.” (Notice that feels better, remembering that there are pockets of relief.) How do you feel when you think that thought, “The pain is incessant”? “Hopeless.” Who would […]

On the train ride to Your Perfect Life, didja ever glance out the window, shocked to find yourself surrounded by completely unfamiliar scenery? My friend Maureen calls this Plan B. As in … “What the heck am I doin’ over here? I am preeeet-ty sure I was supposed to be way the heck over there, for […]

These symptoms are so cray-cray! In addition to the other stuff, my heart has been acting up too and that part has been scary for me. That said, I’m ok being on this magical, mysterious adventure of growth and transformation and sharing … and, as always, I am learning a LOT. In a cab on […]

Well my beautiful friends, I’ve witnessed some major miracles over here! And it’s all about the healing power of love energy. You lifted me. Last week the precious Jeannette Maw was all locked ‘n loaded. If I were unable to host my Magical Medical Mystery Tour call with Bob Doyle, she was ready to hop […]
