This is for sure my favorite comfort food lately … almost any warm, roasted veggie with toasted sesame seeds and brown rice pasta just really does it for me.
And brussels sprouts have a special subtle flavor and softness. I steam ’em til they’re tender and melt in your mouthish.
Warming, nurturing, soothing salty goodness. Aaaaah!

Sesame Seed Brussels Sprouts with Brown Rice Macaroni Recipe
- 2 cups brown rice macaroni or penne pasta, cooked
- 1 cup brussels sprouts, steamed til tender
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- Kosher salt, to taste
- 2 tbsp raw, hulled sunflower seeds
When pasta is done cooking and brussels sprouts are steamed, toast sesame seeds with salt in olive oil in a medium skillet for just a few moments. Add brussels sprouts and stir til ever so slightly browned. Remove from heat. Add pasta and stir til coated with oil. Enjoy!
